Empowering people to improve their
mental health

Hi there :) I’m Carole and my pronouns are they/them. I’m an LGBTQ coaching psychologist. Now, I appreciate that my job title doesn’t actually tell you much about what it is exactly that I do. So let’s look into that a bit more.

I work with LGBTQ, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous (ENM) and kinky people who are struggling with feeling strong, intense emotions.

They may feel things such as:

  • Anxiety

  • Anger

  • Depression

  • Fear

  • Stress

  • Overwhelm

  • Jealousy

  • Like suicide is their only way out

  • Or indeed any other strong, intense feeling that causes them issues.

The key thing that my clients all know is that they want a life that makes them feel happy and fulfilled.

They have often tried many different things before coming to me. Some have had counselling or other psychological therapies before to some degree of success but need a different approach now, while others have not found other approaches to be right for them at the time. One of the focuses of my work with clients typically will involve improving their understanding of their emotional experiences and this does then evolve into learning how to work with and manage emotions. This is important because how are you supposed to feel less stressed, depressed and anxious if you don’t know how to identify, work with and manage your emotions?

When you choose to work with me you get support with your mental health and wider personal development that is 100% personalised, rooted in anti-oppressive approaches that takes intersectionality into account and is tailored to your own specific circumstances and needs. If you are struggling with strong and intense emotions such as feeling depressed or anxious, you know it can affect all areas of your life.

It may be impacting you in ways such as:

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Falling back on things like self harm, sex, booze etc to help you cope

  • Constantly trying to manage the stressors in your life but not feeling like you’re making any real progress

  • Not knowing who you are

  • Not quite knowing how you fit within a traumatising and othering society

  • Feeling out of control

  • And struggling to maintain positive, healthy habits.

I can help you to find some space to breathe again, understand what’s happening in a compassionate way, find a way of working with yourself rather than continuously fighting against yourself and to gain stability in your relationships with others and yourself. I will pay attention to you as a whole, complete person while we do this important work together. You are more than your struggles and you absolutely can have a better, happier, healthier life with my support and guidance.

Check out the video below for a feel of what I can do for you.
